SOUND EARTH April 25 - June 5

Dear Friends,

Welcome to SOUND EARTH!

https://www.facebook.com/soundearth/

I think of so many of you daily, missing our interactions and music making. I miss our music making both now and in all future events that have been indefinitely canceled due to the pandemic.

If anything, this breakout of the disease unites us globally - the virus does not choose based on race, religion, or wealth. At the same time, it shows us where we fail as societies - in neglecting our vulnerable communities, in amassing material wealth for which no one has use in critical circumstances like these, in pursuing divisive ideological agendas when unity of approach is crucial for our survival.

We musicians are healers and human antennae of this world. Now when all of us are at home, we can still connect through a sound network across the planet, enveloping it, our beautiful planet, through a common pitch played at the same time.

For non-musicians among us - holding one pitch is easy. It does not require practicing or synchronizing. It can be hummed, played on any instrument, or played from your device - if you click on the sound/video link for the specific day.

Below is a schedule of events, tune in daily, tune in when you can, share it with your friends!
I hope our daily shared frequency creates a network of unity, love and especially healing for all of us and our planet.

Post your audio or video recordings, or email them to me if you’re ok with me editing them into a patchwork of sound at some point.

We're uniting across space -- tuning together into a frequency for two minutes every day. Check out the time for your timezone to hum, sing, or play a pitch-of-the-day on an instrument together!
